William Russell Cheatham

This blog is for my oldest son, William Russell Cheatham. Billy is the oldest of my six children. He is a typical big brother type. Always watching out for his siblings. He is the only one of my children to move out so far. Roger is joining the Army in August so he'll be far away from home but Billy is just down the road. He got himself an apartment and him and his girlfriend are living together. I don't mind so much but her parents aren't too happy about the arrangement.

Billy was born on January 19, 1989. He was the only one of my kids born on his actual due date. I had a perfect pregnancy with him. No morning sickness and no complications. He was 7 pounds 6 ounces with blue eyes and dark brown hair. We named him after my father William and my husbands brother Russell.

Billy was a silly little kid. Always wanting attention and goofing off more than paying attention in elementary school. I always got called in for parent teacher conferences to talk about his talking too much. He was a smart boy but too busy for books. He managed to get by but didn't get straight A's like Rebecca.

Middle school was all about football. He had to keep a C average to stay on the team. He wanted to be a quarterback so bad but he was a better defensive player. He was very good but kept getting hurt so his daddy decided he needed to take a break. Billy was not happy about that.

Billy still loves sports but he is pretty into online gaming nowadays. He's always on the computer! He graduated in 2007 and went to community college for awhile but quit because he couldn't afford it. He also wanted to move in with Gina. He works at Lowe's and makes pretty decent money. He got a promotion to shift leader last October so he's making a little bit more. He's a good leader. I know he'll keep moving up that ladder.

I love you, Billy!
