Ronald Eugene Cheatham is teaching Katherine Elizabeth Cheatham how to drive. It's been so fun to watch. Ron learned how to drive a stick when he was 15 but they're just teaching Katie how to drive an automatic in drivers ed. She's getting better but keeps stalling the truck. Ron's 17 now and Katie's 15. I hope she can pass her written test! I think that's going to be the hard part.
Ron took her to the KMart parking lot over the weekend and just let her drive her heart out. He was so patient. I don't know where he gets that from. Must be his dad because I'm not good at teaching people things. Katie's lucky to have him. He taught her how to skateboard when she was about 5. They used to go round and round the block all summer long.
Ron tried to teach Billy how to drive too but he just got too frustrated and gave up. Poor boy still doesn't know how to drive a stick. Roger learned in drivers ed but that boy just couldn't get the written part passed. I think it comes more naturally for boys.
